Manual Therapy encompasses the treatment of health ailments of various causes through hands on physical intervention. Physical treatments include:

• mobilization of joints, joint manipulation,
• mobilization of neural tissue,
• soft tissue mobilization,
• ART-active release therapy(see ART therapy)
• various connective tissue techniques,
• massages,
• craniosacral techniques (see Craniosacral Therapy)

Manual therapy is used by physiotherapists and other trained health care professionals. There are many different kinds of Manual therapy such as acupressure, reflex point therapy, myofascial release and traction to name a few.
